We have talked to many, many people from all levels of government, industry and the community over the last few months and our vision has expanded. What is clear is that a national park enables investments in ecotourism to be developed with certainty. It creates job opportunities for regional communities. You can download our formal proposal below. By expanding the Wellington National Park we will meet six of the key strategies in the Bunbury-Wellington & Boyup Brook regional tourism strategy including the creation of a tourism loop that will take in Bunbury, Donnybrook and Collie, as well as being a key link withing the South West tourism sector. In achieving our vision, Preston Valley will no longer be the 'forgotten valley' but a vibrant, world class eco-tourism destination that provides a prosperous future for us all.
The following overlays are just some of the tourism opportunities that have been put forward and the associated jobs that would be on offer.
